Our Mission

The mission of Putnam County Fire Department is to protect all citizens and visitors of Putnam County from injury and loss by any direct or indirect threats to life and property by providing fire suppression, rescue operations, fire prevention and education, and emergency medical first-responder services.

No, the Fire Department does not fill pools.

The Fire Department does not issue burn permits.

How do I obtain an Incident Report?

Contact Mrs. Owens (706) 485-0469 to schedule an appointment to begin the Open Records Request process.

The following information is needed: Date of incident, Address of Incident, Owner/Occupant information, Approximate time of incident.

Incident report fees vary based on report length and administration detail.
