Prostate Cancer Awareness
National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, is observed every September in North America by health experts, health advocates, and individuals concerned with men’s prostate health and prostate cancer. Increasing public awareness of the importance of prostate health and educating about risk factors and symptoms of prostate cancer are two of the main reasons for the month of September being dedicated to this cause. In order to bring more attention to this disease, Putnam County Employees are encouraged to wear blue on each Friday in September. The official prostate cancer ribbon is light blue. "Do BLUE"
