Jimmy Davis Park Partnership Advisory Council

The Jimmy Davis Park Partnership Advisory Council was created in March 2024.

Mission Statement

Promoting Health and Wellness: Jimmy Davis Park is dedicated to offering opportunities for physical activity, mental rejuvenation, and a sense of peace in the heart of the city. We aim to be a hub for recreational activities, wellness programs, and educational initiatives that empower all people to lead healthier lifestyles.

1.     JDPPAC may recommend recreational, wellness, and educational opportunities for the community.

2.     JDPPAC may recommend healthy lifestyle initiatives for the community.

3.     JDPPAC shall meet a minimum of four times a year.

4.     JDPPAC shall report to the Board of Commissioners quarterly.

5.     JDPPAC shall sunset after 12 months unless extended by the Board of Commissioners (extended until March 2026 at the 3-18-25 BOC meeting).

6.     JDPPAC shall consist of five members and the District 2 Commissioner.

7.     The Recreation Director or designee may attend.
