Board of Commissioners
Putnam County is governed by a Board of Commissioners consisting of a chairman, elected county-wide, and four commissioners, one from each district, as provided for in House Bill 248, Act Number 22, signed by the Governor on May 14, 2003.
The Board of Commissioners is a policy-making body and oversees the executive functions of the county and assigns the day-to-day duties of the executive role to the county manager.
