Transit Driver

Putnam County is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Transit Driver.
The individual must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License; good communication skills, both verbal and written; be able to provide help to the elderly and handicapped in entering and disembarking from the transit vehicle; possess knowledge of Putnam County and Eatonton streets and roads; have the ability to provide normal preventive maintenance on the vehicle; be able to frequently lift both light and heavy objects, including wheelchair passengers, and have the ability to pass CPR and First Aid Certification.
Applicants must be able to pass background check, Motor Vehicle Report, Per-employment drug test, and possess a valid driver license.
This is a full-time position, and compensation will be based on the current county pay scale.
